Wordsworth cedar pens are now available!

Last summer, I was working with some very special cedar, as featured in the previous article. My idea was to create a unique range of gifts with a clear connection to William Wordsworth. I decided a pen would be the perfect choice, or maybe a pencil too… this was unchartered territory for me and the start of a new adventure!

After much experimenting, I decided on a minimal design, so the markings would become a prominent feature. A straight barrel is easier to grip and allows for a better finish too. Every pen has a cyanoacrylate (superglue) coating. Cedar is a soft wood and this creates a crisp and smooth finish. It’s always possible to scratch the surface of wood, but this is one of the toughest finishes available.

The internals are beautifully made and available in four different kinds. I am offering the fountain and ballpoint versions at the moment, with more coming soon. The detailing on the fountain pens nib is quite something!

Every pen comes with a small pouch and a signed and numbered certificate. I will be making no more than 250 of each version…

Here are a few images of the completed designs. You can now purchase them direct from my website…
